TODAY LIVE EASTER
Dear Brothers and Sisters
Once again, the Church invites us to celebrate the mysteries of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of the Lord. In the Eucharist on Palm Sunday, Easter porch, listen to the story of the Passion according to St. Matthew, who emphasizes the silence of Jesus before Pilate, eloquent silence, silence creator of the epic divine omen of our salvation. The philosopher Ortega y Gasset wrote that "if they really want to do something seriously, the first thing to do is shut up."
This thinking helps us understand the awesome silence of Jesus in his Passion and Death, far more "serious" in his life and the event more "serious" in the history of mankind. It does the work of our redemption from the language of silence, which is the language of love, the depth and generosity of a God who freely gives his life for us.
In a world awash with words, which in many cases become dehumanizing noise in this Palm Sunday, I invite you to find the inner silence. Only from the "sound isolation" and fruitful of silence is possible to convert the encounter with us them with the truth about man and the sound of God, perceptible only in silence. This inner silence is particularly necessary in those days. Living Holy Week today is not easy. At least it's not like a few decades ago, in which the mood was essentially religious. Today there are many noises lures and trying to seduce and secularized consumer society in which we live.
So live today with seriousness and spiritual benefit from the prayerful silence, the saga of the Lord's Passion has the most credit. May it be family, all members participating in the liturgical celebrations of the Easter Triduum. They we will update the central mysteries of our faith. Ready to live by reconciling us with God and our brothers in the sacrament of Penance. Let's find ample space for silence, reflection and contemplative prayer. Let us thank the Lord for the institution of the sacrament of his Body and Blood in Holy Thursday and visitémoslo with mercy and anointing in the "monuments." Live with immense gratitude the liturgy of Good Friday and open our hearts to the shed blood of Christ to heal our wounds, get into our spirit, we convert and sanctify us. They also participate in the Easter Vigil. Easter does not end at Calvary, but in the morning radiant Easter, when Christ, broken the chains of death rises victorious from the abyss. Live with joy the Lord's Passover.
Unite the exultant Hallelujah Church celebrates the resurrection of the Lord, the central truth of our faith the firmer foundation of our hope and security more certain that the object of our love lives, then it comes back to his Father third day, returning the Spirit that He gives at Calvary.
Come with the Lord with devotion and sense of Penance in the beautiful seasons of penance of Holy Week in Seville, which are primarily cultural, and entertainment attractions, but an expression of religiosity of our people and expressions of piety and fervor. Or processions, or the sacred images, and his steps up for the richness of the liturgy of the Easter Triduum. Moreover, they make sense if they result from participation in the liturgy and suppose, if they contribute to a genuine and fervent celebration, staff and community of the Passover of the Lord died and risen, who is our Passover. From this perspective, not celebrate Easter as the Church wishes to be limited to those who actively or passively participate in the processions if not deeply penetrate the core of what the Church celebrates and updates. Likewise, when manifestations of popular piety aside, divert or distract from the liturgical celebration of the Paschal Mystery of the Lord or just look for their historical, cultural or customary, lose their purpose and become mere spectacle without heart, when not a distortion of the holy mysteries these days celebrate.
God wants us to live these days with depth. God wants you to help us to renew our personal Christian life and community. Hopefully encourage our encounter with Christ, which transforms our lives if we let ourselves be transformed by the effectiveness of his redeeming blood. I hope that whoever raises for the Church and the world at Easter resurrect especially in our hearts and our lives. Only then will experience the true joy of Easter.
This is my wish for all Christians of the Archdiocese. To all my fraternal greeting and my blessing. Happy Easter and religious.

Archbishop of Seville
